What finish do I need?

That's an excellent question, and it depends on you, the rider.

When we talk about finishes, we're actually talking about the finish of the bearings inside your product, which is different to the colour or material that you can touch on the outside.

We have two options, Uncoated or Coated, so let's delve a little deeper into the difference.

Uncoated

All our products come uncoated as standard, and if we're honest, it's a pretty good standard. As the name suggests, the bearings are made with uncoated hardened steel races with our trademark ceramic balls. Our steel is of the highest quality, and through rigorous testing, we have guaranteed its lifetime up to 4 years.

Coated

If you want the best, then coated is for you - and here's why:

By choosing to upgrade to a coated product guarantees its lifetime for 6 years. Our unique formula is a metallic layer that is 75% harder than steel, making the races highly resistant to corrosion. This means that even if the bearing is contaminated with degreaser, water or mud, the risk of bearing failure due to corrosion is negligible.

CeramicSpeed coated bearings are available for pulley wheels, bottom brackets, wheel bearings and the Oversized Pulley Wheel System.
